Calvary Baptist Simpsonville

Our Vision

LIFTING UP THE CHRIST OF CALVARY

We joyfully and consistently lift up the Christ of Calvary through worship and the preaching and teaching of God’s Word. Through God’s empowerment, we see hearts touched and lives changed as we compassionately reach out to all people in our church, in our community, and around the world.

Through the power of His blood and humble submission to His Word, we experience a warm unified fellowship where there is room for all. We glorify God as we respond to the complete work of Christ on the cross by always living obediently, enthusiastically, and victoriously for the Christ of Calvary.

Our Values

CENTERING ON JESUS CHRIST

We are a Christ-focused, Christ-dependent, Christ-exalting ministry opposing a
man-centered, man-dependent, man-pleasing approach. We are centered on the person
of Christ and empowered by His grace in every dimension of our ministry philosophy and practice including all preaching, teaching, music, outreach, leadership, recreation, and fellowship activities.

LOVING GOD SUPREMELY

We recognize that God first loved us, and we endeavor to love Him wholeheartedly in return. We demonstrate our love by obeying His Word and by having a sincere and fervent heart as we worship and serve Him.

PURSUING PERSONAL HOLINESS

We endeavor to be set apart from the sinful ways of the world, to be conformed to the
image of Christ, and to please God in every aspect of our lives. We fully yield to the Holy Spirit, and through the study and application of God's Word, avail ourselves of its personal sanctifying power.

IMPACTING PEOPLE FOR ETERNITY

We each faithfully demonstrate Christ's love to people in our congregation and community
by giving our time, talents, and treasure in sacrificial ministry without thought of temporal reward. We endeavor to present the gospel locally and globally and to meet people's practical and spiritual needs in a manner consistent with biblical truth.

BUILDING AND STRENGTHENING RELATIONSHIPS

We equip people with knowledge and application to fulfill their God-given family roles and responsibilities. We teach and model biblical commands and principles through training and counseling which develop and protect the home and church.
